Invite Links
Every "join Wellthplan" email carries a link made for one person. Opening it signs them up already connected to whoever sent it — and tells the sender the moment they're in.
Three things send one: an agent inviting a prospect from their Contacts (app) or Contacts (web), an agent gifting a subscription, and a member inviting someone into their plan from Plan Settings → Members. All three open the same address shape, app.wellthplan.com/invite/{'{token}'}, and follow the same rules.
This is different from the agent's referral link (app.wellthplan.com/r/{'{code}'}), which is the same for everyone the agent shares it with: it credits the agent, but it can't know who signed up. A unique link can.
No screenshots yet: capturing the landing states needs a live invite of each kind, which the docs capture account can't produce.
Sending one
Agent invite — from a contact's page, Email (app) or Email / Remind (web). Wellthplan sends the email from the product sender: "{Agent} from {Firm} invited you to Wellthplan", the agent's name and firm, and one button that opens the link. The contact flips to Pending Invite the moment it goes out. Email only — Wellthplan never texts a prospect who hasn't opted in; agents who want to text tap Text, which opens their own Messages app with their referral link.
Bulk invite sends the same thing to many contacts at once (25 per batch, with progress). Every contact still gets their own link.
Gift claim link — created automatically when a gift is paid for. The recipient gets "{Agent} gifted you N months of Wellthplan", and the agent gets Copy link / Share to text it themselves. Details on Gifting.
Plan invite — from Plan Settings → Members → Invite a member, by email or phone. An email invite is sent for you ("{Name} invited you to join their plan on Wellthplan"); a phone-only invite gives you the link to text or share yourself — Wellthplan doesn't text it. Inviting anyone turns a personal plan into a shared one.
What the recipient sees
The link opens the web sign-up wearing the sender's context. For an agent invite: an Invited by {Agent} chip with the firm, the email already filled in, and the usual create-account options (email, Google, Apple). For a gift: the gift's headline — "Your first 6 months are already paid for." — with the value, the agent, the expiry, and a privacy line ("Your spending, plan, and answers are never shared with {Agent}"). For a plan invite: "{Name} invited you. Join their plan." with what sharing means (accounts and balances, one budget, goals) and "Joining is free — the plan is already set up."
The sign-up itself is the standard one — see Sign-up. What the link adds:
- Agent invites attach the agent's referral credit automatically (the 30-day trial applies as with any referral) and, the moment the account exists, flip the agent's contact to Accepted. Someone who already had a Wellthplan account can open the link, sign in, and still be counted.
- Gift links grant the prepaid months at the point a plan is created — no card, no trial countdown — and the recipient continues through the rest of setup into the app.
- Plan invites skip plan creation entirely. After signing up or signing in, a Join their plan? confirmation explains what will be shared ("You can leave at any time") with Join or Not now — start my own plan instead. Joining is the whole setup; the next screen sends them to the app stores to see the plan.
Link previews (iMessage, Slack) carry a short card — "Join Wellthplan", "Claim your Wellthplan gift", "Join a plan on Wellthplan" — with the sender's name. A plan invite's preview deliberately never names the plan; that's private to its members.
How long a link lasts
- Agent invites: 30 days. A reminder (Email / Remind again while it's pending) sends fresh copy with the same link — so the first email keeps working — and restarts the 30 days. Reminders are limited to one per 24 hours; trying sooner shows how long to wait. Once a link has expired, inviting again mints a brand-new one and the old email's link is dead.
- Gift links: a year. It's paid for, so it doesn't lapse like a sales nudge.
- Plan invites: 30 days. Re-inviting the same person while their invite is live just hands you the same link again (no second email inside 24 hours); after it expires, a fresh one.
Revoke — an agent can withdraw a pending invite from the contact's page (the app's ellipsis menu; the web's footer Revoke). The emailed link stops working and the contact returns to uninvited, ready for a fresh invite later. Plan owners cancel pending invites from the Members list. A refunded gift's claim link dies with it.
Dead links
Nobody who opens a stale link is stranded:
- Already used — "This invite has already been used" (or "This gift has already been claimed") over a sign-in form, because the person standing there is almost always the one who used it. Signing in resumes wherever they left off.
- Expired — "This invite link has expired. Ask {Agent} to send you a new invite — or go ahead and sign up now, you'll still be set up with them." Continue to sign up keeps the agent's referral credit; only the automatic contact flip is lost. A plan invite's version asks the inviter for a fresh one, or offers to start their own plan.
- Revoked — "This invite is no longer active. The person who sent it withdrew the invite." Plain Get Started, no attribution.
- Unknown — a mangled or made-up token just opens the normal sign-up.
