SMS Consent & Opt-In

This page is the public record of the Wellthplan SMS program. It documents how end users consent to receive text messages from Wellthplan, LLC ("Wellthplan," "we," "us," or "our"), the types of messages we send, how often we send them, and how any recipient can opt out at any time. It is published for our users as well as for carriers, messaging aggregators, and compliance reviewers who need to verify our opt-in practices.

Program Description

Wellthplan is a personal finance application (featuring Finn, our AI financial assistant) that helps individuals and groups understand and manage their money. We send text messages from our verified business phone number for the following purposes:

  • Phone verification codes — one-time passcodes sent when a user signs in to their account with their phone number
  • Account notifications — registration confirmations and account recovery messages requested by the user
  • Group invitations — a single, one-time invitation message sent when an existing Wellthplan member invites someone to join their shared financial group

We do not send promotional or marketing text messages without separate express consent, and we never send messages unrelated to the Wellthplan service.

How Users Opt In

Method 1: Phone number sign-in and verification

During sign-in, users voluntarily enter their own mobile phone number in the Wellthplan mobile app and tap Send Code to request a one-time verification code. Consent language displayed with the phone number field informs the user that by submitting their number they agree to receive text messages from Wellthplan, that message and data rates may apply, and that they can reply STOP to opt out.

Method 2: Providing a phone number during account registration

Users may add a mobile phone number to their account during registration or from their profile settings. The phone number field is accompanied by consent language and an unchecked consent checkbox; the user must affirmatively agree to receive text messages from Wellthplan before the number is used for messaging.

Method 3: Group invitations (one-time message)

An existing, opted-in Wellthplan member may invite a contact to join their shared group by entering the contact's phone number. The invited contact receives a single, one-time invitation message that identifies the member who sent the invitation and includes opt-out instructions. The invited contact receives no further messages unless they create a Wellthplan account and opt in themselves through Method 1 or Method 2 above.

Required Disclosures

  • Message frequency varies based on account activity. Verification codes are sent only when requested. Group invitations are one-time messages.
  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • Opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. You will receive one final confirmation message and no further texts.
  • Reply HELP for help, or contact us at support@wellthplan.com.
  • Consent is not a condition of purchase. You can use Wellthplan with email-based sign-in without providing a phone number.

Privacy of Mobile Information

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with or sold to any third parties or lead generators. We share mobile phone numbers only with our SMS delivery provider, solely to deliver the messages described on this page.

Opting Out

You can stop receiving text messages from Wellthplan at any time by:

  1. Replying STOP to any message from our number
  2. Removing your phone number from your account in the Wellthplan app
  3. Emailing support@wellthplan.com with your opt-out request

Opting out of text messages does not affect your Wellthplan account. You will continue to receive essential account communications by email.
